Who can see my wishlist?

Who sees a wishlist depends on its visibility setting: Public, Anyone with the link (the default), or Invite only.

Written by Wishpicks

Who can see your wishlist comes down to one setting: visibility. There are three options, and every new wishlist starts on Anyone with the link.

The three visibility settings

  • Set a list to Public and anyone can view it, plus it shows up on your public profile. You need to be signed in to pick this one.

  • Anyone with the link is the default. Anyone you send the link to can open the list, but it stays off your profile and out of search results. No link, no access.

  • Invite only means you and the people you invite by email, nobody else. Everyone else gets a "No Access" page, and even the link preview is hidden.

Public lists don't turn up in any browse page or feed on Wishpicks. People reach your list through your profile or through a link you gave them.

Good to know

A Public or Anyone with the link wishlist opens without signing in. Visitors get a read-only view, so they can't add, edit or delete anything.

Sharing a list for viewing is a different thing from inviting someone to edit it. Adding a collaborator doesn't change who can see the list, and you don't have to make a list private before you add one.
