How do I find a gift by describing what I want?

Type what you're looking for in the Add Wish bar instead of a link, and Wishpicks finds real products you can add to a wishlist and buy at the store.

Written by Wishpicks

You don't need a link. Type what you're looking for into the Add Wish bar in your own words, like "gaming mouse under 80 EUR" or "gift for a 3-year-old," and Wishpicks finds real products that match.

Steps

  1. Open the Add Wish bar at the top of your wishlist or home.

  2. Instead of pasting a link, type what you want in plain words. Name a price and Wishpicks narrows the results to fit: "running shoes under 60 EUR".

  3. Wishpicks shows matching products as a grid of cards, each with a picture and price.

  4. Use Sort to reorder them: Most relevant, Cheapest first, or Most expensive.

  5. Tap a card to open the product, then tap Add.

  6. Choose the wishlist, set a priority or notes if you like, and tap Add to Wishlist.

Where it works

This works in supported regions, so set your region on your account. Where it isn't available yet the Add Wish bar takes links and photos instead: the placeholder reads "Paste a product link," and typing a description just starts a manual wish you fill in yourself.

Good to know

Every result is an actual item from a store's catalog, at the price that store lists. Wishpicks isn't a shop, though: the store name is hidden on the card, but each one links out to that store, where you or your gifter buy it.

Prices and stock are what we last checked, so they can change. Have a look at the store before you buy. Results match your region, and each price shows in that store's own currency.

If nothing lands you'll see "Nothing matched yet" and a prompt to try a different search.

You can search logged out. Browsing, sorting, and opening a product all work without an account; only adding a result to a wishlist needs one, and Wishpicks sets up a guest account for you.

A "Wished by" count on a card is how many different people have added that product to a wishlist, not likes; see "What does 'wished by N people' mean?" in Getting Started. Wishpicks also asks "How was this search?" once results load. Tap Helpful or Not helpful to tell us how it did.

Pasting a full product link is a different route, using that exact page: see "How do I add a product from another website?" For where you actually buy, see "Where do I buy the product?" and "Can I buy a gift directly on Wishpicks?" in the Buying Gifts collection.
