Do I need an account to use Wishpicks?

You can view a shared wishlist and reserve a gift without an account. You'll want an account to keep your own wishlists, follow people, and change settings.

Not for everything. You can open a shared wishlist and reserve a gift without signing up. You'll want an account to keep your own wishlists safe, follow people, and change your settings.

What you can do without an account

  • View a shared wishlist. Anyone with the link can open a wishlist that's Public or Anyone with the link.

  • Reserve a gift, if the owner allows it. See "How does gift reservation work?".

  • Start building a wishlist. Visit Wishpicks without signing in and you can create one straight away as a guest.

What needs an account

  • Following people and seeing their new wishes in your feed.

  • Collections, saved items, and your settings.

  • Keeping your wishlists for the long term. More on that below.

How to sign in

Wishpicks signs you in with Google, Facebook, or an emailed magic link, a one-time link that signs you in when you click it. There's no email-and-password login, and signing in with Apple isn't available yet.

Good to know

Guest work can be lost. A guest wishlist lives in your browser, so switching devices, clearing your cookies, or leaving it a long while can lock you out. Signing up in that same browser is the safe route: the wishlists and reservations you made as a guest move into your new account by themselves. You can also set up a recovery link beforehand, but that only rescues a guest wishlist, never a reservation.

The magic link is your sign-in. It arrives by email and expires after about an hour. If it doesn't turn up, check your spam folder.
