What can guests do on my wishlist?

Guests can view your wishlist and reserve gifts, but they can't add, edit, or delete wishes or change any settings.

Written by Wishpicks

Guests can view your wishlist and reserve a gift on it — but they can't add, edit, or delete wishes, and they can't change any of your settings.

What a guest can see

  • The wishlist name, description, and images.

  • Each wish: its name, price, images, notes, store link, tags, availability, and priority.

  • Whether a wish is already reserved (so two people don't claim the same gift).

What a guest can do

  • Reserve a gift, so others know it's taken. Reserving just marks the intent to give it — it isn't buying, and Wishpicks doesn't process the purchase. See "How does gift reservation work?"

  • Click through to the external store link to buy the item there.

What a guest cannot do

Guests can't add, edit, delete, or reorder wishes, and they can't rename the wishlist or change any of its settings.

A few details

Editing a wishlist is a separate role you grant by email, so guests with the link never get edit access. See "What's the difference between an editor, a guest, and someone reserving a gift?"

By default, reserving stays a surprise. You won't even see that a gift was reserved unless you turn on Reveal reservations — see "How do I make sure my friends can reserve a gift?"
