What information is visible to guests?

Guests see a wishlist's name, images, and wishes — notes and store links too — but not your contact details. Reservations stay hidden until you reveal them.

Written by Wishpicks

Guests on a public or shared wishlist see the list's name, description, and images, plus each wish — its name, price, images, notes, store link, tags, availability, and priority. They get a read-only view and cannot change anything.

What guests can see

  • The wishlist name, description, and cover/images.

  • Each wish: name, price, images, notes, the store link, tags, availability, and priority.

  • Reservation status — but only if you've turned on Reveal reservations (it's off by default).

What guests cannot see or do

  • They cannot add, edit, or delete wishes, and cannot change any settings.

  • There is no delivery address, phone number, or recipient name anywhere on a wishlist — Wishpicks has no such fields, so guests never see contact or shipping details unless you type them into a note yourself.

By default, you (the owner) do not even see that items were reserved. A guest who tries to reserve an item that is already taken is told it is reserved, but the person who reserved it stays anonymous unless your reservation privacy is set to Registered User Reservations. See "Can I hide reserved gifts from myself?" and the gift-reservation articles for how anonymity works.

Keep in mind

Because notes are visible to guests, avoid putting anything private (like your home address) in them. To coordinate delivery, use neutral wording such as "message me for delivery details." Wishpicks has no delivery-address feature — the gift-giver buys the item at the store and arranges delivery directly with you, so share any address details privately rather than typing them onto the list.

  • On an Invite only wishlist, only you and invited people see any of this — everyone else gets a "No Access" page, and even the link preview is hidden.

  • What guests see is the same whether your list is Public or Anyone with the link; the difference is only how people find the list.
