To share a private wishlist, invite the people you want by email in the wishlist's Share settings and pick an access level for each one. A plain copy-link does not work for a private list — only invited people can open it.
Steps
Open the private wishlist.
Go to its Share settings.
Enter the email address of each person you want to give access to.
Choose an access level for them:
Viewer — can view the wishlist and reserve items, if reservations are enabled, but cannot edit.
Contributor — can view and add wishes, but can't edit or delete existing ones, or change settings.
Full Access — can view, add, edit, and delete wishes, and fully manage wishlist settings.
Send the invite. Each person gets an invitation email with an accept link.
The invitation email goes to each address you enter. If someone hasn't received theirs, you can resend it: in the access list, open the menu next to a person whose invite is still pending and choose Resend invitation.
Common questions
The person you invite must use the exact email you invited. If they sign in with a different email, they won't get access. They must also be (or become) a registered Wishpicks user and accept the invite before they can open the list.
Use Viewer if you only want someone to see and reserve from the list. Use Contributor or Full Access only if you want them to help manage it.
This is the same email-invite flow whether a list is public or private — visibility never grants edit rights on its own.
An invitation doesn't expire — it stays valid until the person accepts it (or you revoke it).
Invitation limits
You can invite up to 50 email addresses in a single invite.
To prevent spam, invites to the same person on the same list are rate-limited (a few within a short window, and a few per day), and there's a daily cap on how many invitations you can send overall. If you hit a limit, wait a little and try again.
There's no hard cap on how many people can collaborate on one wishlist — these limits only control how fast invitations go out.
