Anything can be a wish, even money or a gift card: tap + in the add bar (the pink + on a phone), type its name and choose Add “[name]”.
A name is all a wish needs: the link, price and photo are optional. "What details can I add to a wish?" covers notes and priority.
Steps
On a phone, tap the pink + at the bottom of the screen. On a computer, click the + at the end of the empty add bar.
Type what you want, like “Cinema voucher”.
Choose Add “Cinema voucher”. If Search stores shows first, it's right under it.
In the New wish form, check Where to add, and add a price or Notes for the gifters if you like.
Tap Create wish.
My link didn't import. What do I do?
Tap Try again first, and if it still fails, choose Add it manually: the New wish form opens with your link in it, so you only need to type a name.
The first failure says “We couldn't find a product at this link.”, and Try again reads the page once more. After that it says “Try a different link or add it manually.”, and the ? beside it explains that some websites don't let Wishpicks read their product details. If reading drags on, “Taking too long?” offers Cancel.
Also check you pasted the product page's full link, not the shop's home address.
Why does it offer Search stores instead?
In some countries Wishpicks can search shops for what you type, so Search stores comes first and Add “[name]” sits right under it. On a computer, once you've typed in the add bar, Enter and the + both run that search, so click + first and type in the Add Wish window. Where there's no Search stores, Enter opens the Add Wish window with your words as the name.
Can I add a wish from a photo or screenshot?
Yes, in every country.
Tap + (the pink + on a phone), then the picture icon at the right of the empty box (Add a photo), and choose your photo. On a computer you can also paste an image into the Add Wish window, or drop one onto it or onto the add bar.
If Wishpicks recognises it, tap Add to list, or Edit details to check the form first.
If you see “We couldn't read the details from this photo — add them on the next step.”, tap Next, type a name and tap Create wish.
A photo can give you a name, never a price or a shop link. Use a JPG, PNG or GIF up to 5 MB. If you see “File is too large. Max size is 5MB.” or “Couldn't add that image. Please try again.” (a HEIC file on a computer, say), screenshot it and add that.
Tips
For money or an experience, say what it's for, like “Towards a weekend in Rome”.
Crop a photo to the product, with its label or brand in view.
Found the link later? Under ⋯ → Edit, paste it into Link from any store and tap the product that appears. The shop's name, price and photos replace yours, so check them before you save.
