How do I change my notification and email preferences (and turn off emails)?

Manage your email toggles in Settings → Notifications, or use the Unsubscribe link in any email. That's where you turn optional emails on or off.

Written by Wishpicks

You manage your email and notification settings in Settings → Notifications, and you can also use the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of most Wishpicks emails. Together these control which optional emails you get.

Steps

  1. Open Settings → Notifications.

  2. Switch any of the toggles on or off:

    • Price drop alerts — emails when a tracked wish's price drops. Off by default. Turning it off shows a quick confirmation.

    • Weekly price recap — a weekly savings summary. This one is part of Wishpicks Plus, so it's locked behind an upgrade if you don't have Plus.

    • Gift reservations — a digest about reservation activity on your lists. On by default.

    • Event reminders — reminders tied to a wishlist's event date. On by default.

    • Product news — occasional updates about Wishpicks. Off by default in many regions.

  3. Most toggles save right away.

Good to know

Price-drop alerts are email only — there are no in-app (bell) price-drop notifications, and they never arrive instantly. With Plus you get at most about two batched drop emails a day; on the free tier, at most one every few days. Price tracking only watches for price drops, so Wishpicks doesn't email you when an out-of-stock item comes back either. The bell feed covers things like a gift being reserved on your list and a welcome-back nudge — not price drops. See "How do price-drop alerts work, and how often are prices checked?" in Wishpicks Plus.

  • Some emails can't be turned off. Service emails — like your magic sign-in link, payment-failed notices, and other account-related messages — always go through, because they're part of running your account. Turning off the optional toggles doesn't affect these.

  • Unsubscribe is the other way out. Every optional email has an Unsubscribe link at the bottom. Use it to stop a specific kind of email without opening Settings.

  • Event reminders are a special case. These are the anniversary emails tied to a wishlist — they go out about two weeks before a list's event date, or before its creation anniversary if no event date is set. To stop them, turn off Event reminders in Settings → Notifications, or use the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of one of those emails.

  • Your country affects the Product news default. In some countries this is off until you opt in; in others it's on until you opt out. You can flip it either way in Settings → Notifications. Changing your country can also change this default — see "How do I change my language, country, or the currency I see?"

There's no self-serve data export. If you need a full export of your settings or data, or something specific from them, contact support. We reply on business days; weekend or holiday messages may be answered the next working day.
