Wishpicks checks the price of the items you track and emails you when one falls far enough to matter. With Plus, tracked items get looked at about every 12 hours. On the free plan it's slower. Alerts always arrive by email, grouped together, so nothing is instant and nothing shows up in the app.
How an alert happens
You turn on Price drop alerts and track an item. See "How do I turn on price-drop alerts and control the emails I get?"
Wishpicks looks at the item's page again on a regular basis.
If the new price is low enough, whether that's your percentage or your target price, the item goes on the list for your next alert.
Everything on that list goes out in one email. You won't get one email per item.
How often prices are checked
Plus items get looked at about every 12 hours. Free tracking is slower, and it eases off as a wish gets older: partner-store items are checked every couple of days for the first month, then a bit less often after that.
How often you'll hear from us
With Plus, at most one drop email every 12 hours. On free, roughly one every three days. So if five items drop at once, that's a single email rather than a stream of pings.
There's no bell, badge or push for price drops. That email is the only price-drop notification there is, and it follows your Price drop alerts switch.
Good to know
By default an alert fires when the price falls by 9% or more. Plus lets you change that number or set a target price instead. See "How do I set a target price or change when I get a price-drop alert?"
Sold-out items are skipped. A drop on something that's out of stock won't email you, and there are no back-in-stock alerts at all. See "Will Wishpicks tell me when a sold-out item is back in stock?"
A price only updates when the price on the page is in the same currency your item was saved in. That stops a different-country version of the page from overwriting what you saved.
Free tracking covers partner stores only. To follow a price anywhere else, you need Plus. See "What is Wishpicks Plus, and what do you get?"
