Is there a Wishpicks app?

There's no app-store app, but you can add Wishpicks to your phone's home screen and it opens like an app. No push alerts; email instead.

There's no Wishpicks app to download from an app store, but you can add Wishpicks to your phone's home screen from the browser, and it opens like an app.

The icon opens Wishpicks in its own window, without the browser's address bar. It's the same Wishpicks you use on the web, so there's nothing to update and it takes almost no space on your phone. It does need an internet connection.

How do I add it to my home screen?

Open wishpicks.com in your browser and choose Add to Home Screen or Install app from its Share or ⋮ menu. Wishpicks won't show an install pop-up, so start from the browser.

On an iPhone or iPad (Safari):

  1. Open wishpicks.com in Safari.

  2. Tap Share, the square with an arrow. If you don't see it, tap ⋯ next to the address bar first.

  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.

On Android (Chrome):

  1. Open wishpicks.com in Chrome.

  2. Tap the ⋮ menu at the top right.

  3. Tap Install app or Add to Home screen, then Install.

In Samsung Internet, tap the + in the address bar and choose Home screen. On a computer, Chrome shows an install icon at the right of the address bar, and Safari on a Mac has File → Add to Dock. Our install steps for each browser show where to tap.

Will I get notifications on my phone?

No. Wishpicks doesn't send push notifications, on a phone or in a browser. You get emails instead, and price drops and invitations also show up in Updates, the bell icon in the app (see "How do I find my way around?"). To pick your emails, see "How do I choose which emails I get?". For price-drop emails, see "How do I turn on price-drop alerts?".

Tips

  • If the icon opens Wishpicks signed out, sign in there once and it remembers you.

  • Made lists without an account? Move them to an account before you switch to the icon, so they're there however you open Wishpicks: "Do I need an account?" shows how.

  • The icon's window has no address bar, so send a list with its Share button instead: see "How do I share my wishlist?".
