I invited someone but they didn't get the invitation — what can I do?

Have them check spam, and confirm you used the email they actually sign in with. You can also send them the wishlist link to view while you sort out the invite.

First, have the person check their spam or junk folder, and double-check you used the exact email they actually sign in to Wishpicks with. The invitation is tied to that specific address, so a typo or a different email is the most common reason it seems "missing."

Steps

  1. Ask them to check spam/junk. Invitation emails sometimes land there. The accept link is in the email itself.

  2. Confirm the email is correct. Open your wishlist's access (sharing) settings and check the address you invited. It must match the email they'll sign in with — their Google, Facebook, or magic-link email. If it's wrong, remove that invite and add the right address.

  3. Check whether they need an account. Wishpicks sign-in is Google, Facebook, or an emailed magic link. If your invitee is new, they can register with the invited email first, then open the invite.

  4. Re-send the invite. Open the person's pending entry in your access list and choose Resend invitation to send the email again.

  5. Share the link as a stopgap. While you sort out the invite, you can copy the wishlist link and send it so they can view the list right away. A link only grants viewing, not editing — but it keeps things moving.

Good to know

  • You invite someone when you want them to edit. To let someone just look at the list (and reserve a gift, if you allow it), the share link is enough — no invite needed. See "What is the difference between viewing and editing access?"

  • Editing starts only after the person accepts the invite and signs in with the same email you invited. If they got the email but still can't edit, see "Why can't someone edit my wishlist?"

Invitation emails do go out, and an invite doesn't expire — the accept link stays valid until the person accepts it or you remove their access, so even an older invite still works. A few sending limits protect against spam: up to 50 emails in one invite, up to 100 invites a day, and the same email at most twice in 5 minutes and three times a day. If you keep seeing "try again later," wait a bit and retry.

Still stuck? Email [email protected] (Monday–Friday, 9:00–18:00 EET, usually a reply within one business day), or use the in-app messenger for something urgent.
