How do I edit a wish?

Open the wish on your wishlist and edit its name, price, link, images, notes, priority, and other details, then save.

Written by Wishpicks

To edit a wish, open it on your wishlist and change any of its details — name, price, link, images, notes, priority, or tags — then save.

Steps

  1. Open the wishlist that has the wish.

  2. Select the wish you want to change.

  3. Update any details you like:

    • Name (required)

    • Description and Notes (free text for extra info)

    • Price (and an optional upper price)

    • Link to the store page

    • Images (up to 5)

    • Priority and Tags

  4. Save your changes.

A few details

  • You can edit a wish if you have Contributor access or higher on the wishlist. If someone invited you as a Contributor, you can edit the wishes you added to their list. See "What's the difference between Full access and Contributor?" in the Shared Wishlists collection for what each role can do.

  • There's no quantity, size, or colour field. If you need to note a size, colour, or amount, write it in the wish's notes or description. See "How do I add notes, priority, or details to a wish?"

Two things that feel like edits work a little differently. Moving a wish to a different wishlist happens inside the edit form — open the wish and set the destination list there, as covered in "How do I move a wish to another wishlist?" Marking an item as gotten is separate again: the owner or a collaborator can mark a wish as fulfilled without deleting or changing it.
