What happens to my tracked items if my payment fails or I downgrade to free?

A failed payment doesn't switch Plus off right away. After you downgrade, tracked items work for a 7-day grace period, then expire.

A failed payment doesn't switch Plus off straight away. If you downgrade to free, your Plus-tracked items keep working for another 7 days, then they expire.

If your payment fails

You'll get a "payment failed" email and see a banner in the app asking you to update your payment method. Plus keeps working while we try the payment again, so nothing disappears the moment a charge bounces.

Sort the payment out in the billing portal before your paid period ends and nothing changes at all. See "How do I cancel, pause, or change my Wishpicks Plus subscription?"

If you downgrade to free

Plus stays on through the period you've already paid for. After that your Plus-tracked items get a 7-day grace period, and then they expire and stop being tracked under Plus.

What goes away once the grace period is over: tracking on stores that aren't partners, room for 50 tracked items, custom thresholds and target prices, price-history charts, and the weekly recap email.

What keeps working: items at partner stores still get the standard free price-drop alerts, as long as your Price drop alerts setting is on. See "How do I turn on price-drop alerts and control the emails I get?"

Good to know

Coming back to Plus before the grace period ends leaves your items exactly as they were. Items that already expired are a different story. They won't switch themselves back on, so you'll need to turn tracking on again for those by hand.

Your wishes are never at risk here. A downgrade only affects price tracking. Wishlists, wishes and reservations stay exactly as they are.
