How do I follow someone and see their new wishes?

Open a person's public profile and choose Follow, then check your following feed to see wishes from everyone you follow, newest updates first.

Written by Wishpicks

To follow someone, open their public profile and choose Follow. Their wishes then show up in your following feed, so you can see what they've added or updated.

You follow a person (an account), not a single wishlist. To follow people you need to be signed in — guest sessions can't use the following feed.

Steps

  1. Sign in to your account (the following feed isn't available to guests).

  2. Open the person's public profile at their /@handle link.

  3. Choose Follow. The button switches to Following.

  4. Open your following feed to see their wishes alongside everyone else you follow.

What to expect

  • You follow people, not wishlists. There's no way to follow a single wishlist — you follow the account, and you see the wishes they've made public. See "How is my public profile different from sharing a single wishlist?".

  • You only see wishes in public wishlists. The feed shows wishes that sit in at least one public wishlist. Wishes in Invite only or Anyone with the link wishlists stay hidden, even for people who follow you.

The feed orders wishes by their latest update, so an older wish someone just edited can move back to the top. It's not a strict timeline of brand-new wishes.

Nothing pings you, either — following doesn't send a notification each time someone adds a wish, so check the feed when you want to see what's new. If you don't follow anyone yet, you'll see "No wishes to see here yet! Start following people to see their wishes here." Follow a few people to fill it up. And you can't follow yourself: the Follow button never shows on your own profile.
