How to create your first wishlist

Name your wishlist, then add wishes by pasting a product link or searching in Wishpicks. New lists are 'Anyone with the link' — only people with the link can see them.

Written by Wishpicks

To create your first wishlist, give it a name and save — then start adding wishes. New wishlists are set to Anyone with the link, meaning only people you share the link with can see them; they aren't listed on your profile or shown in search.

Steps

  1. Open Wishpicks and choose to create a new wishlist.

  2. Give it a name — for example "Birthday", "Christmas", or "Things I love". You can add a description too.

  3. Save the wishlist. By default it's created as Anyone with the link.

  4. Add your first wish — paste a product link from any store, or search inside Wishpicks. See "How to add a wish to your wishlist".

  5. When you're ready, share it. See "How to share your wishlist with friends and family".

A few details

You don't need an account to look at a wishlist, but you do to create one. To save a wishlist, sign in with Google, Facebook, or an emailed magic link.

  • What "Anyone with the link" means: anyone with the link can view it, but it's not listed on your public profile and not indexed by search engines. You can change the visibility later (Public, Anyone with the link, or Invite only) in the wishlist settings. See "Who can see my wishlist?".

  • Want a co-manager? You can invite someone by email to help add and edit items — you don't have to make the list private to do it. See "How do I invite another person to edit my wishlist?".

  • A wishlist has no place for a delivery address; arrange delivery privately with whoever is gifting. See "Do I need to add my address to my wishlist?".
