"Wished by N people" is the number of different people who have added that product to a wishlist on Wishpicks. It's a live count of how many people want the item, not likes or hearts.
You'll see it as a small caption on a product, like "wished by 12 people". A higher number means more people have saved that exact product to their own lists.
Where you'll see it
Type what you're looking for in the Add Wish bar and a catalogue product card can show "wished by N people". The same caption turns up on items in shared wishlists and collections.
On your own collections it reads a little differently when you're one of the people who added it: wished by you, or wished by you and # others.
How the count works
It counts people, not clicks or likes. Each person counts once for a product, however many of their lists it sits on. Search results and product cards have no like or heart button at all. Collection pick cards do have a like button, but that's a separate thing from this count.
The count is per product, so people who saved it from different stores or offers are all counted together. Everyone counts equally, whether they're signed in or browsing as a guest.
It's hidden when there's nothing to show. If nobody has wished a product yet, the caption simply doesn't appear. It won't show "0".
The number moves as people add or remove a product from their lists, and a brand-new wish can take up to a couple of minutes to show up.
What it doesn't do
It's not a price or stock signal. "Wished by N people" says how many people want an item, not whether it's in stock or what it costs. Prices and stock come from the store and can change. See "Are the products and prices on Wishpicks real?".
It doesn't sort your search either. There's no "sort by most popular" option yet. You can sort by Most relevant, Cheapest first, or Most expensive.
And plenty of people wanting something doesn't mean you buy it here. Every product links out to the store that sells it, and you buy there.
