When you delete your account, it doesn't disappear right away — there's a short grace window during which you can still cancel and keep everything. Once that window ends, your account and all your data are permanently deleted and can't be recovered.
Steps
Open Settings → Privacy and select Delete Account, then confirm. See "How do I delete my account?" for the full walkthrough.
Your account is scheduled for deletion and enters the grace window. During this time your account keeps working normally.
Changed your mind? Cancel the deletion before the window ends, and your account stays exactly as it was.
If you do nothing, the deletion completes when the window closes.
Before the window closes
The grace window is short — about 48 hours in production. While it's open, you can cancel and nothing is lost. After it closes, a background job removes your account along with all your wishlists, wishes, reservations, and saved searches, and there's no recovery, no backup to restore from, and no further emails from Wishpicks. Support can't bring the account back once the deadline passes either, so if you're unsure, contact us while the window is still open.
Collaborators and gifters lose access. Deleting removes your wishlists, so anyone you shared them with loses access, and any reservations on those lists are removed too.
Have Wishpicks Plus? Plus is a paid subscription managed separately. Review or cancel it before you delete so you're not left with a plan you can no longer reach. See the Wishpicks Plus articles for how to cancel.
You don't have to delete to step away for a while. You can update your name and profile instead — see "How do I change my email or profile name?" — or turn off optional emails in "How do I change my notification and email preferences (and turn off emails)?"
